Can I put poinsettias in my compost bin?

I normally only put kitchen and Vegi garden scraps in the bin. I use the compost for my vegetable garden, will there be any issues?

Yes, you can...but why not plant it in your garden?

In the fall, you can bring it indoors to enjoy.

Poinsettias are non-poisonous:

"A research study conducted at Ohio State University in more recent years reveals that poinsettias are not truly poisonous at all. The study conclusively proved that all parts of the plant are non-toxic."
