Since, you now got a plant. You had to take care of it.



Poinsettias are hard to grow and its conditions for growth could only be afforded by greenhouses. But you could still keep it alive.



The ideal location for a poinsettia plant is in front of a warm, sunny, draft-free south, east, or west-facing window behind a veil of filtered sunlight. Poinsettias are tropical plants, so take care not to place it against the glass where it can suffer damage from the cold. Indoor temperatures should be maintained between 68oF and 70oF. Turn the pot a quarter turn once a week to provide ample light to the entire plant for even growth and uniformity.



The soil should be kept evenly moist but never saturated. Over watering could cause foliage loss.

Reply:SUNLIGHT IS GOOD , 60* at night warmer and NO drafts during the day or night is good.

DO not over water, or leave it in standing water because of foil wrap. Poinsettias like it fairly dry!

Too much attention and too much love usually kills plants!
