What is the longevity of poinsettia plants?

HI THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS ONLY A COUPLE OF DAYS IF YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF IT AND IF YOU DO IT SHOULD LAST A COUPLE OF WEEKS!

What is the longevity of poinsettia plants?
Poinsettias can be very long-lived (dozens of years) in the right climate and with the right care. In many parts of the world (Australia, parts of China, even parts of US), poinsettias can grow into trees.

If you are interested in cultivating your poinsettia to last longer than the holiday season, you will need to provide the right nutrients and most importantly, sunlight.
Reply:In California and Mexico poinsettias grow wild. For the Christmas plants people receive, if wateres they last about a month. If they are ept in the dark for the summer, they will come out again next fall. If they weather is right, like CA they can grow outside.
